Premier Milwaukee Movers – 414-764-0335

Even though it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Milwaukee believes in always fighting for all cures. October in Milwaukee also means continuing to diligently work towards bettering the lives of those who are effected by Aids.

This past Sunday, Milwaukee hosted the 25th Annual AIDS Walk Wisconsin and 5k Run event. The annual fundraiser has racked in a little under half a million dollars towards HIV prevention, as well as care and treatment programs.

If you are moving to Milwaukee and want to help make an impact in your new community, then come take part in this annual event for AIDS awareness. The AIDS Walk Wisconsin and 5K Run event is unique in that 100% of its proceeds stay within the state of Wisconsin. The $500,000 goes towards feeding families, providing shelter, protecting the legal rights of people with HIV, and gives better access to healthcare needs.

When dealing with critical illnesses such as AIDS, it can create a financial struggle for the person infected, as well as for their families. When you participate in the walk for AIDS in Milwaukee, you are lending a huge helping hand and allowing people to live longer, healthier lives.

Each year, you can take part in Milwaukee’s AIDS fundraiser and MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

As the leaves on the trees dry up and fall to the ground and the plants patiently await the first rain, all vegetation becomes dangerously dry.

Also adding to the possibilities of a fire this fall are the holiday preparations. Halloween decorations, Thanksgiving meal preparations, candles, Christmas trees, and Christmas lights, are all big contributors to fall fires.

In lieu of fall fire season, the Milwaukee Fire Department is spending this entire week raising fire awareness for National Fire Prevention Week.

This fun and interactive event at the Milwaukee Fire Department educates families about fire safety and prevention. Whether you think you know everything about fire safety or not, it is a good idea to stop by and hear what the fire department has to share; there may be new information that you do not know.

If you recently moved to Milwaukee, or are planning on moving to Milwaukee in the near future, this event can be of some use to you. Many states have different fire prevention and safety tips that uniquely apply to them. Demographics play a major role in fire prevention, so new residents should be sure to look into any differences that their new community concerns themselves with when it comes to fires.

The 2014 event will include daily activities through October 11th, focusing on the theme of “Smoke Alarms Save Lives”. If you are unable to make this year’s event, be sure to test your smoke detectors and mark your calendars for next year’s event on the week of October 4th. Feel free to reach out to your local Milwaukee Fire Department at any time in-between.

If you have children, this event is a fun way to introduce them to fire safety and can even help them make some friends in their new neighborhood. Join the Milwaukee Fire Department this week at the Survive Alive House in Milwaukee.

Air travel is always stressful. You know it, I know it…everyone knows it. Traveling is stressful even without running into flight cancellations or delays. Often times, flight cancellations and delays can be preventable with the cooperation of airport staff.

Recently, a gasoline fire was started by an airport contractor and was surprisingly deemed a “non-terrorist act” even though his actions sparked a terrible rippling effect across the country. As many airports are trying to prevent events like this from occurring, there are still flight cancelations and delays every day.

A lingering effect is still felt in Milwaukee airports, after the Chicago O’Hare and Midway airports stopped all inbound and outbound traffic due to fire. Travelers can expect to face delays and cancellations for many Milwaukee flights until scheduling gets back in order.

On the positive side, you can also find a significant reduction in air travel rates as the airlines are trying to make up for this stressful inconvenience. So if you are moving to Milwaukee and plan on flying, take advantage of the price cuts and book your flight quickly because with the holiday season approaching, the reduced prices won’t last long!

Milwaukee Business Journal recently hosted a round-table discussion where 17 real estate experts discussed which areas of Milwaukee are prime for development opportunities. They discussed that both Kenosha and Milwaukee’s lakefront are hot with potential for development.

Kenosha has already been growing quickly, and will continue as more developments are built and more jobs flood the area. Recently Amazon.com made plans to build two buildings in the area that will total more than 1.5 million square-feet. Located directly off I-94, Kenosha is already known as one of the hottest places in the Milwaukee real estate industry, and shows no signs of slowing.

The lakefront also shows a lot of potential due to the proposition of new jobs coming into the area. There are currently several new office project under construction in the area under the hand of Irgens and Northwestern Mutual. Milwaukee developer Rick Barret has also announced plans to construct a 44-story Couture high-rise on East Michigan Street.

Barret and many others are very confident in the future of the metro area. They are devoted to continuing the work that they have done to develop and grow Milwaukee.

One year after Jason Kidd moved off the court and on to the bench to become the coach of the Brooklyn Nets, he will be packing his bags once again and moving to Milwaukee. Jason Kidd was released from his contract by the Nets to sign with the Bucks, in return Milwaukee gave the Nets 3 future draft picks. Kidd will replace Larry Drew, who only coached one season in Milwaukee.

In his first season as a coach, Jason Kidd led the Nets to a 44-38 record and a playoff berth, which ended in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals at the hands of the Miami Heat. Last season the Bucks finished with a 15-67 record which landed them the second overall pick of the NBA draft, where they drafted Duke’s star forward, Jabari Parker.

Both of these decisions by the Bucks are in hopes of rebuilding the team back to a power player in the Eastern Conference.

Your local moving company, All My Sons, is a proud supporter of the Milwaukee Bucks and we hope to see Jason Kidd get the team moving in the right direction once again. We hope to see all of Milwaukee getting behind our boys and cheering them on when the season begins in the Fall.

This fall Milwaukee’s Pleasant Street Bridge will begin undergoing major repairs. Out of the 21 bridges in the Milwaukee area that help us to move around the city, Pleasant Street’s bridge will be the tenth to receive repair since 2000. Your Milwaukee movers were surprised to learn that the cost of bridge repair is to the tune of 8 million dollars. However, much of the bridge repair costs have been covered thanks to federal grants; $21.5 million dollars of federal funding was given in order to repair local Juneau and Wisconsin Avenue bridges. Your Milwaukee relocation providers are proud to live in a city that takes such good care of its roadways!

Quite a thorny Monday is upon your Milwaukee area movers following yesterday’s ruthless storms. Thomas More High students will enjoy an extended weekend, while your Milwaukee relocation specialists are loathing the forced-day-off the weather has given us. Your local moving company in Milwaukee wasn’t the only group affected by the storms either; flood waters have caused fresh grass clippings to clog plumbing pipes and flooding airport runways causing delays. Your professional movers are looking forward to clear and sunny skies, and we know we’re not the only ones! Rain Rain Go Away!
